Paramount Pictures har fremvist den nye Top Gun 2: Maverick på konferencen CinemaCon og det strømmer ind med ros

Det er blot nogle af citaterne fra dem som fik adgang til at se Top Gun 2: Maverick på årets CinemaCon konference. De er vilde med den ny film, og en mener ligefrem at 2’eren er bedre end 1’eren.
I filmen er Tom Cruise tilbage i sin ikoniske rolle som piloten Pete ’Maverick’ Mitchell som han spillede første gang i monsterhittet Top Gun fra 1986. Efter mere end 30 års tjeneste som en af flådens bedste piloter er Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise) der hvor han hører til.
Da han selv kommer til at træne et hold Top Gun-uddannede til en specialiseret mission, som ingen levende pilot nogensinde har set, møder Maverick løjtnant Bradley Bradshaw (Miles Teller), kaldesignal: “Rooster”, sønnen af Mavericks afdøde ven og radaropfangningsofficer, løjtnant Nick Bradshaw, også kendt som “Goose”.
Maverick står over for en usikker fremtid og konfronteres med spøgelserne fra sin fortid og drages ind i en konfrontation med sin egen dybeste frygt, hvilket kulminerer i en mission, der kræver det ultimative offer af dem, der bliver udvalgt til at flyve den.

Top Gun: Maverick: Just because something is predictable doesn’t make it any less satisfying. It has a near-identical structure to the original, but with some added drama between Maverick and Goose’s son. Absolutely killer air action. It’s exactly what fans will want.
