Der sker ting og sager indenfor produktionen af LCD-displays for tiden. Forleden droppede Sony ud af den fælles LCD-produktion med Samsung, og nu vælger Samsung at skille selskabet fra i et separat enhed. Måske for senere at kunne sælge den del fra.
Samsung tjener ikke længere penge på deres LCD-forretning, kunne Reuters berette forleden. De måtte indkassere et underskud på ca. 5 mia. kroner i 2011 på LCD-divisionen.
Omlægningerne får dog ikke nogen umiddelbar indflydelse på Samsungs LED TV, hvor de forventer at sælge omkring 50 millioner styk i år.
