Nu putter Nikon en projektor ind i pocket kameraet, for gengivelse af fotos og video.
Mini-projektorer dukker op i forskellige produkter som eksempelvis mobiltelefoner og smartphones, men her er endnu et produkt, som gør nytte af en mini-projektor. Et pocket kamera.
Nikon Coolpix S1000pj tilbyder en ny måde at vise billeder på. Det projekterede billede kan blive op til 40″ stort, og bruges til at vise optagelser fra kameraet, såvel fotos som video. Der er tilmed en slideshow funktion, med baggrundsmusik.
Selve kameraet er 12,1 megapixel, og har en Nikon 5x zoom linse (Zoom-NIKKOR). ISO 64-5400. En 2,7″ bredformat LCD skærm. Billedestabilisering (5-vejs). Person tracking, og mulighed for automatisk valg af scene. Nikons Smart Portrait System, til portræt billeder og mulighed for at optage video.
I USA er det annonceret til $430 (~2.250) med lancering til september. Pris og tilgængelighed herhjemme kendes ikke endnu.
